Course Objective

Being able to produce the right sound based on valid breathing; using the right sound in right place with intonation; being able to practice to have soft, round and homogen sound with chorus. Singind Turkish Art Music pieces in a choir.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Achieves correct posture, physical relaxation and flexibility
2   Uses the voice while paying attention to intonation.
3   Generates homogenous sound that blends with the other voices in the choir.
4   Knows Turkish Art Music pieces.
5   Performs Turkish Art Music pieces in accordance with the usul and maqam of the piece.
6   Has knowledge about polyphony of Turkish Art Music.
