Course Objective

It aims to provide training in singing folk music melodies as a group by using his voice correctly. It aims to provide training in singing folk music melodies as a group by using his voice correctly.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Uses the voice while paying attetion to intonation 2   Generates homogeneous sound that blends with the other sound in the choir 3   Knows Turkish Folk Music pieces 4   Performes Turkish Folk Music pieces in accordance with the style of the region they belong 5   Has knowledge about polyphony of Turkish Folk Music pieces 6   Transforming the ability to read notes accurately and quickly into the ability to sing beautifully

Week Subject Description 1 The importance of speech in singing, stretching and relaxation movements 2 Correct breathing and exhalation, the qualities of correct and beautiful speech 3 Exercises that provide the voice-breath-word connection 4 Correct diction studies 5 Exercises to increase breathing capacity 6 Breathing exercises, eloquence and articulation exercises 7 Voice exercises and vocal studies 8 Midterm 9 Breathing exercises, stretching movements 10 Ability to use the voice homogeneously, tone studies 11 Stretching movements, vocal exercises 12 Grouping students according to sound characteristics 13 Vocal work, getting to know choral works 14 Stretching exercises, voice exercises and piece work 15 Final Exam
