Course Objective

To be able to acquire historical knowledge about Traditional Turkish Music and to understand the structure of makams and usuls up to 10 beats.

1   The student has general information about Turkish Music. 2   The student understands the modifier signs and coma values used in Turkish Music. 3   The student knows the names of the keys in Turkish Music. 4   The student understands Turkish Music styles. 5   The student understands the Turkish Music modes.
