Course Objective

To enable students to reach a certain level in technical terms and to provide students with the ability to play musicals.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Repetition and reinforcement of the scales learned in the 1st period.
2 Studies of tongue and nuance. Teaching scale, tierce, arpeggio of 1 flat, 1 sharp scales
3 Reinforcement of tongue studies with scales
4 Breath and nuance work.
5 Playing etudes related to breathing and nuance.
6 Etude and finger exercises related to learned scales
7 Midterm Exam
8 Scales study.
9 Breathing and articulation enhancement techniques
10 Demonstrating and teaching all the sounds in the clarinet.
11 Diaphragm and long sound work.
12 Study of etudes related to learned scales
13 Articulation, breathing, and nuance studies on played etudes.
14 General repetition
15 Final Exam
