Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with information about Turkish and world mythology; to enable students to learn about creation epics, pre-Islamic and post-Islamic Turkish epics.

2   Recognize pre-islamic Turkish myths.
3   Compare differences and similarities of pre-islamic myths
4   Recognize post-islamic Turkish myths .

Assessment Criteria

Students will be required to take a midterm exam and a final exam as part of the course. The format of these exams (written, multiple choice, etc.) will be announced to students by the instructor during the week prior to the exam week.
