Course Objective

To comprehend the historical development process of Turkish teaching, to evaluate the methods and techniques used in this process from a critical point of view, to recognise the names and works that have contributed to the field, to understand the elements that shape the understanding of modern Turkish teaching and to contribute to academic studies in this field.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To analyse the development steps of Turkish teaching in the historical process.
2   To evaluate the methods, techniques and materials used in Turkish teaching in historical perspective.
3   To recognise important personalities and their works that contribute to the field of Turkish teaching.
4   To discuss the social, cultural and political effects in the history of Turkish teaching.
5   To develop suggestions for modern Turkish teaching based on historical accumulation.
