Course Objective

This course aims to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes about issues affecting physical and mental health in the family, parenting processes, family communication, child rearing attitudes, and the role and duties of the family counselor.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain basic concepts related to family structure.
2   Evaluate approaches to child rearing and the value of children.
3   Develop an understanding of family counselor roles and duties.
4   Explain the interaction between parental attitudes, child education, and family health.
