Course Objective

Raising awareness on gender equality and violence against women.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identify the difference between sex and gender
2   Gaining the ability to recognize, understand and question their own values, including gender inequality
3   To understand the reflection of gender inequality on the emotional state, behavior and role patterns of the individual
4   Understanding the effects of gender on different fields (education, working life, media, law, health, family and marriage, old age and disability)
5   To be able to explain violence against women and types and reasons of violence against women
6   To be able to analyze the current situation in our country and in the world regarding the violence against women
7   Understanding the relationship of gender with psychological counseling
