Course Objective

The introduction of psychology is to arouse the curiosity of examining various aspects of human behavior, as well as discussing scientific research methods and introductory information on basic psychology fields. In short, the course aims to summarize and introduce the basic subjects, concepts and perspectives of psychology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Discusses the nature of psychology.
2   Evaluates the main features of research methods in psychology.
3   Explain the biological basis of behavior.
4   Discusses the relationship between intelligence, memory, language and thinking processes and human behavior.
5   Compares sensation and perception processes.
6   Distinguish between consciousness and different states of consciousness.
7   Explains the place and functioning of emotion, excitement and motivation in human life.
8   Explains the basic features of personality and personality theories.
