Course Objective

To examine the psychological counseling profession in all its dimensions and scope, its theories and principles, and to develop a professional identity.

1   Comprehend the definition, historical development, aims, principles of counseling
2   Differentiate the counseling services according to the age periods and study areas
3   Comprehend normal and abnormal development and the techniques of individual recognition
4   Integrate the theories and the related skills with the ethical principles of counseling and the principles of Turkish national education system
