Course Objective

The objective of this course is to help students comprehend the different points of views by means of original reading passages such as newspaper,magazine, research paper and academic writings;to predict the connections among the main idea of the passage;to acquire advanced reading skills i.e recognizing the main idea and using the given information among the statements;to acquire the reading ability both for classroom activities and outside reading;to develop the analytical thinking ability based upon the analysis of the acquired knowledge.

3   To adjust attentional starategies according to the materials being read
4   To receive the contrasting ideas from the writer s argument
