Course Objective

Planning a teaching situation related to the subjects to be selected from the Information Technologies Curriculum (ITC) (listing the outcomes for a selected teaching situation, determining the appropriate methods and techniques, determining the appropriate tools and materials, organizing the activities, listing the evaluation criteria); making the annual plan of the course belonging to a step, applying the learning-teaching approaches, theories, learning-teaching strategies, methods and techniques that can be used specific to the field; developing various teaching skills with the microteaching method; examining the information technologies laboratory environments (evaluating in terms of suitability for the lecture and ergonomics, discussing the teaching problems that arise and explaining the solution suggestions); determining and applying the measurement-evaluation methods and techniques used in information technologies education (traditional measurement-evaluation methods and techniques, alternative measurement-evaluation methods and techniques and examples related to information technologies education) and listing the information technologies teacher competencies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Plan an instructional event related to subjects in information and communication technologies' curriculum.
2   Realize applications related to the information field.
3   Design face-to-face, blended and online learning environments in the context of informatics education.
4   Determine the measurement and evaluation methods and techniques used in information technology education.
5   Design and present a course by selecting a topic from among the topics of informatics education.
