Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge about the theoretical and philosophical foundations of qualitative research. It is also aimed to enable students to experience the qualitative research process in practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the place of qualitative research in the scientific research tradition.
2   Evaluate the difference of qualitative research from quantitative research.
3   Comprehend the research processes of qualitative research.
4   Define data collection and analysis methods in qualitative research.
5   Apply the knowledge gained about the qualitative research process.
