Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide basic conceptual information about literary works that can be used in social studies teaching, give students practical skills in using various literary genres in social studies teaching and introduce good examples in this regard.

1   Explain basic concepts about the use of literary works in social studies teaching
2   Recognize the literary works that can be used in social studies teaching
3   Explain the place of using literary works in social studies curriculum
4   Evaluate good examples of using literary works in social studies teaching
5   Acquire practical skills in the use of literary works in social studies teaching

11 The literary genres that can be used in social studies teaching: Cartoons, anecdotes, proverbs
12 Using cartoons, anecdotes and proverbs in social studies teaching
13 The literary genres that can be used in social studies teaching: Poetry, travelogues
