Course Objective

The aim of this course is to draw attention to the innovation phenomenon that occurred in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and to learn about the innovations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to have information about the debates made within the framework of the concept of innovation in the last period of the Ottoman Empire.
2   To be able to have general opinions about how the innovation process started and how it developed in Turks.
3   To be able to obtain satisfactory information about what kind of innovations were made in which areas in the last days of the Ottoman Empire.
4   To be able to have information about the effects of the renewal activities in the Ottoman Empire on the Republican period.
5   To be able to interpret the developments on innovations in today's Türkiye.
