Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to explain the important developments that have occurred in the world since the First World War and to discuss the situation of the Turks in the contemporary world in general terms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Discuss the concept knowledge of intellectual, economic and political changes that form the basis of the contemporary world.
2   Analyse the causes and consequences of the First and Second World Wars.
3   Analyze world power balances during the Cold War era.
4   Analyze the developments in post-Cold War period.
5   Recognize the status of Turks in contemporary world.
