Introducing the elements that should be in a basic map and gaining the ability to prepare a basic map.

1   Knows the importance of using maps in geography education 2   Ability to calculate length and area using scale on a map 3   Ability to distinguish map types 4   Ability to read topography maps 5   Ability to calculate slopes and profiles using isohips
