Course Objective


To be able to learn and distinguish the structure and properties of organic compounds and organic compounds with functional groups.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to name organic compounds with functional groups and understand their physical properties
2   To be able to show organic compounds with functional groups with models
3   Obtaining organic compounds which are cleaning products such as soap and detergent and learning their types
4   To learn the concepts of surface tension, surfactant, saponification
5   To understand the properties of carboxylic acids and aldehydes
6   To be able to obtain azo dyes from organic dyes
