Course Objective

The aim of this course to apply teaching methods, learning-teaching processes, and general teaching methods to the subject area, critically examine textbooks in the subject area, and relate them to specific teaching methods and strategies. It also aims to conduct micro-teaching practices and evaluate teaching. Additionally, it seeks to develop and implement teacher guide materials based on the knowledge and skills gained in the Special Teaching Methods-I course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   define main aims and learning outcomes in science subjects.
2   Uses current examples and models of the teaching of science subjects.
3   The properties of alternative teaching methods and techniques used in science teaching and explains the issues to be considered during their use in the classroom.
4   use the student s creativity in science teaching methods in developing.
5   Science education to ask questions, talk, events, develop skills to look at other aspects.

7   Group work allows students to learn and co-operation.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

The homeworks will be assessed by directly adding to the mid-term scores. The exam dates will be indicated in the lesson plan. As the exam dates become definite, the previously announced dates may change.

Assessment Criteria

The basic learning outcomes of course will be assessed by exams, homeworks, portfolios and projects.

It is obligated to continue to at least 70% of lessons .
Every trial to copying will be finalized with disciplinary proceedings.
The instructor has right to make quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes will be directly added to exam scores.
