Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide basic knowledge and skills in diagnostic methods, rational drug use, and infection control before clinical internships begin; and to ensure that the basic principles of evidence-based practices in medical practice are understood.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to define the basic principles of diagnostic medical methods (BK) and discuss their roles in patient diagnosis, treatment and follow-up (BA)
2   Ability to explain the principles of evidence-based medicine (BK), and critically evaluate medical information (BA)
3   Explaining the importance of infection control (BK), discussing the precautions and practices to be taken (BA)
4   Definition of medical devices (BK), classification (BK), legal regulations (BK), clinical research and artificial intelligence applications (BA)
5   Ability to define the principles of rational drug use (BK) and explain with examples (BA)
