Course Objective

To recognize the place of mathematics, mathematics education, and the mathematician in literature and cinema, and to examine its impact on the perception of mathematics and mathematicians.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To examine the impact of literary works on the perception of mathematics and mathematicians
2   To examine the impact of cinema on the perception of mathematics and mathematicians
3   To conduct research on the areas of interaction between mathematics and literature and to prepare a presentation on the subject.
4   To conduct research on the areas of interaction between mathematics and cinema and to prepare a presentation on the subject.
5   To develop teaching practices based on the integration of mathematics and literature
6   To develop teaching practices based on the integration of mathematics and cinema
