Course Objective

At the end of this course, the students will gain the knowledge of factors and events that form Izmir city and its history by understanding the development of Izmir city in history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to summarize the development of Izmir City and its vicinity from antiquity to the present day
2   To be able to explain Izmir and its vicinity's settlement order and urban development
3   To be able to tell the effects of Great Fire to Izmir City
4   To be able to know important people and characters of Izmir cultural life
5   To be able to list the historical places of Izmir
