Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine Turkish educational history from the pre-Islamic era to the present in a historical, political, and social context, and to analyze the changes in educational policies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Lists the major periods of Turkish educational history in chronological order.
2   Analyzes the institutions and practices of each historical period.
3   Evaluates educational policies within the historical development process.
4   Questions and interprets changes in education from past to present.
