Course Objective

This course aims to enable students to critically analyze written and visual media texts in terms of language, expression, and content; to develop competence in editing processes; and to raise awareness of the structural, ideological, and persuasive aspects of media language.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Analyze the linguistic and stylistic features of media texts.
2   Explain and apply the stages of the editing process.
3   Evaluate the ideological, directive, and manipulative dimensions of media language.
4   Edit written texts for coherence, grammar, and clarity.
5   Develop effective, clear, and accurate use of media language.
