Course Objective

This course aims to introduce students to selected works from the Classical Western Music repertoire by listening and exploring composers, historical contexts, and musical characteristics. It seeks to develop musical appreciation, aesthetic awareness, and basic skills in music listening and interpretation.

1   1. Identify the fundamental characteristics of Classical Western Music periods.
2   2. Describe representative composers and their key works.
3   3. Interpret musical works in terms of their historical and stylistic features.
4   4. Develop awareness in musical culture and aesthetic sensitivity.

The compositions to be listened to and examined will be determined during the semester in accordance with the level of the student group enrolled in the course.
