Course Objective |
Environmental issues have become more important on the global political agenda over the last 50 years, due to the increasing risks for the future of human life and prosperity. Environmental sensitivities have been reflected in political thought and policy-making at all levels of global politics. With the adoption of the concept of sustinable development, multiple poltical actors have tried to find ways to create development without causing environmental degredation. This course aims to present a comprehensive understanding of different ideas, actors, cooperation and conflict patterns in environmental politics, around main themes such as climate change, biodiversity and pollution. |
