Course Objective

Within the framework of representation and reality concepts, the aim is to discuss how representations of women have been constructed historically and culturally on the basis of equality and human rights.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the concepts of representation and reality at a theoretical level. 2   Analyze how representations of women have been constructed historically and culturally. 3   Gain a critical perspective on the field. 4   Evaluate images of women in the media, literature, popular culture, and political discourse. 5   Discuss representations of women in terms of equality and human rights.
