Course Objective

In this course, blasting theory, blasting products and applications will be explained;blasting designs,evaluation of blasting results and optimum blasting practice.It is aimed to provide information for thepurpose of improvement.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Must know terms related to drilling and blasting
2   Must know the hole designs applied in tunnels and underground mines
3   Must know the general characteristics of blast-induced vibrations
4   Must recognize explosive materials used in mines
5   Must make simple calculations regarding explosive quantities.
