Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the principles of digital video, the development of artificial intelligence technologies and how these technologies can be incorporated into digital content production processes. The course will provide a comprehensive analysis of the history of digital video and its function in contemporary platforms, as well as the evolution and potential future trends of artificial intelligence, technical video formats and AI-based content production tools. Through the completion of individual and group projects, students will acquire the necessary skills and methods to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, as well as apply AI-enabled design processes and create their own digital content. Students will have the opportunity to develop their creative and technical skills by completing this course, which is designed to meet the needs of content creators in the digital age.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize the fundamentals of digital video, its history and evolution on modern digital platforms
2   To teach the basics of AI, its history and how the technology has evolved; focusing on potential future trends and developments
3   To investigate how artificial intelligence can be used in digital content production processes
4   Examine the technical characteristics and uses of different digital video formats
5   Introducing various AI-based digital content creation tools
6   To teach the planning of a digital content production project and the technical and creative research required in this process

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

A variety of methods will be used in this course to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical competence in digital video, artificial intelligence and digital content production. The course will be based on interactive theoretical presentations. During the course, students will consolidate their theoretical understanding with practical applications through individual and group projects. In these projects, AI-oriented tools will be used and students will be involved in the entire digital content production process.
