Course Objective

To help understand the production and post-production phases of the animation pipeline and gain hands-on experience.

1   To understand production and post-production phases of the 2D digital animation pipeline
2   To understand the processes and tasks involved in 2D digital animation production.
3   To complete and present an original project using 2D digital animation techniques.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Production and post production phases are explained, and different animation techniques are analyzed. Students are expected to complete the project initiated in the prior semester.

40% of the final course grade is based on the weekly presentations where students report on their progress; the remaining 60% is based on the completed project.

Assessment Criteria

Students are expected to report on the progress of their projects weekly.
The final project is assessed based on its originality, technical complexity and implementation.

Students must attend at least 70% of the lectures. Late assignments are not accepted.
