Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

THEORETICAL INFORMATION: will be conveyed through presentation, all concepts will be supported by examples from printed visual publications and various products of Performing Arts (film, theatre).
BASIC APPLICATIONS AND TECHNIQUES: These will be taught through hands-on practice. Cognitive, affective, and psychomotor behaviors will be developed through hands-on experience. Examples will be provided from relevant works in print and visual arts.
ASSIGNMENTS: The Structured Discovery Method will be used. Data on principles, concepts, and potential problem solutions will be provided by the course instructor and organized with examples. Students will be guided through questions to help them analyze the data and reach their conclusions.
DESIGN STUDIES DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS: The Unstructured Discovery Method will be used to help individuals discover concepts, principles, and solutions to a problem in a natural environment.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1- Classroom Practices: In order to increase student success and motivation and reduce the homework load, in-class practices carried out during the learning-teaching process in the Workshop will be evaluated with a grade.
2- Assignments: They will be evaluated with the evaluation schedule.
3- Evaluating the Applied Design Product/Workshop products: The draping work applied in real scale on the wooden mannequin will be evaluated in its entirety with the "technical evaluation chart".

Assessment Criteria

1- In-class applications to be made in the workshop will be evaluated with the "technical evaluation chart" and the "ability to apply the technique" will be measured. These practices will take place in the course accompanied by the relevant instructor.
2- As for the homework to be given; Originality will be evaluated with an evaluation chart that includes source-data scanning, presentation-expression method, technical and aesthetic criteria.
3- In the Applied Design Product/Workshop Product Evaluation: Garment design applications using basic draping techniques will be evaluated holistically using a "technical evaluation grid." This evaluation will utilize "criteria that measure the ability to apply relevant techniques at each stage of the production process," as well as the ability to utilize aesthetic elements that should be considered in the application.

Language of Instruction

Course Policies and Rules

1- Minimum %70 ,80 participation in each of class and in-class practices is mandatory.
