Course Objective

To provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge about the main elements of collective voice training and choir discipline, and to provide them with the ability to sing together in a group in line with this knowledge.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1- To have theoretical and practical knowledge about the main elements of collective voice training.
2   2- Learning the rules of making music together, that is, choir discipline, in theory and putting them into practice.
3   3- Being able to sing canon, two-part and four-part choir pieces in a group.
4   4- Being able to produce a homogeneous sound by listening and following other voice groups while singing in a choir.
5   5- To be able to perform polyphonic choral works by displaying the technical and musical knowledge gained.

Assessment Criteria

The two exams (midterm and final) to be held throughout the semester will affect 80% of the student's total success score. In the midterm exam, it will be expected that the theoretical topics covered during the term have been comprehended. The final exam will be based on practice, and the student's correct and beautiful singing performance in the group will be evaluated.
