Course Objective

This course aims to teach the recognition of intraoral teeth and surrounding tissues, identification of physiological and pathological conditions to develop appropriate treatment plans, surgical applications in the treatment of periodontal diseases, when they are needed, information about the biomaterials used, and referral to specialists when necessary.

1   Recognizes the general principles of periodontal surgery.
2   Recognizes the anatomical structures to be considered in periodontal surgery.
3   Recognizes how to identify the need for periodontal surgical procedures.
4   Recognizes the diagnosis and treatment of furcation lesions.
5   Recognizes periodontal plastic and esthetic surgical methods.

5 Hard tissue augmentation methods

7 Guided Tissue regeneration
8 Guided Tissue regeneration and biomaterials used
9 Up to date approach to guided tissue regeneration
10 Periodontal plastic surgical applications, mucogingival surgery
