Course Objective

It is very easy to access information today, but there is a lot of inaccurate information on the internet. The aim of this course is to provide the student with the correct information.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize the importance of literature in scientific research.
2   Lists different databases and sources.
3   Groups of the obtained literatüre.
4   It shows scientific publications (e.g. Impact factor, H index, K index) with examples.
5   Prepares a simple seminar outline using literature review data.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Midterm Exam (40%) + Final (60%)

Assessment Criteria

The course grade is determined by calculating 40% of the midterm examination and 60% of the final examination. A resit examination is administered for students who do not pass.
