Course Objective

To provide information about health law and related basic concepts; patient rights within the framework of national and international legislation; informed consent and medical malpractice in medical interventions; and some crimes that may be applicable to physicians and healthcare professionals.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines health law and related basic concepts.
2   Understands patient rights within the framework of national and international legislation.
3   Explains the legal and criminal liability of physicians, patient rights, and the concepts of informed consent.
4   Explains the legal liability arising from medical interventions.
5   Explains the criminal liability of physicians.

Assessment Criteria

1. The student should be able to easily define the concepts in economic news.
2. The student should be able to use the necessary economic concepts in explaining the decision-making processes of consumers and companies.
3. The student should be able to distinguish market structures in which certain products are produced and sold.
4. The student should be able to realize how the markets are balanced with the forces of demand and supply.
5. The student should be able to recognize the concepts and topics of economics used in library resources.
