Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to have knowledge about drama and dramatic activities in pre-school education and to reach a level where they can plan and implement activities.

1   Defines dramatic activities and concepts related to drama.
2   Defines the requirements of setting the environment in drama and dramatic activities.
3   Plans different drama and dramatic activities.
4   Explains educational objectives of the field he / she applies.
5   Classifies educational drama according to youth and application areas.

4 Warm-up games and introduction activities

7 Use of emotions, body language, and facial expressions
8 Group work and collaborative drama activities
9 Creative storytelling and dramatization
10 Drama practices with puppets and supporting materials
11 Drama for values education and social skill development
12 Drama practices supporting children s imagination and creativity
13 Planning and implementation of drama activities in the classroom
14 General review, student presentations, and evaluation

The course will be conducted with theoretical explanations, applied drama activities, group work, case discussions and student presentations.
