Course Objective

To increase the basic music knowledge of dentistry students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains the definition and social functions of music. 2   Analyzes the historical development of different musical genres. 3   Creates examples from the historical development process. 4   Demonstrates the spiritual and physical effects of music with practical examples. 5   Applies music therapy techniques in daily life practices.

Assessment Criteria

The course grade is determined by calculating 40% of the midterm examination and 60% of the final examination. A resit examination is administered for students who do not pass.
