Course Objective

The main aim of the course is to evaluate, learn and examine the maritime in the historical process, which directs the political, socio-cultural and economic situations and relations of Eastern and Western societies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To comprehend the emergence and general historical course of maritime in history
2   Describe the historical characteristics of seafaring societies
3   Being aware of the importance of ports in the Mediterranean and Black Sea
4   To have knowledge about important sea trade routes
5   Define maritime terms and expressions
