Course Objective

To research and discuss basic elements and properties of economic and social structure in Turkey in the process of historical development and in the context of the political and cultural developments.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To tell the concepts and theories of social structure and social change (1)
2   To discuss the factors that determine the economic and social structure of Turkey (1)
3   To examine comparatively Turkey's economic and social structure features in the historical process (1,2)
4   To analyze economic and political developments in Turkey in terms of the effects of social structure (1, 12)
5   To evaluate and discuss of the social, economic and political structure issues with the basic features in today's Turkey (1,12)
