Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide information about basic concepts and institutions of labour law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn basic concepts of labor law and employment relationship.
2   To determine problems arising from application of labor law.
3   To prevent and to solve the problems which may occur from the application of labor law.

Course Contents

1 Basic concepts of the Labor Law I Worker, employer, employer's representative, subcontractor
2 Basic concepts of Labour Law Workplace, declaring workplace, transfer of workplace
3 Employment contracts Terms and conditions of contracts, probationary period clauses in employment contracts
4 Employment Contracts I Definite and indefinite term contracts, part-time and full time-contracts
5 Employment contracts II Call on work and teleworking, team contracts
6 Employment contracts III Temporary employment relationship
7 End of employment I Termination of the employment contract by the worker and employer, the legal consequences of termination
8 End of Employment II Termination of contracts with valid reason, job security, termination for just cause .
9 Organization of work Working time
10 Organization of Work Leaves and holidays
11 Wages I Wages and types of wages
12 Wages II Payments, the legal consequences of non-payment of wages, protection of wages
13 Health and safety at work Health and safety measures at work , rights and obligations of the worker and employer
14 Supervision and inspection of working conditions Inspection procedures, competent authorities and officials.
