Course Objective

Learning the techniques of hand and beat techniques that form the basis of conducting; breathing, concentration and motion studies; giving conductor ability of recognizing his/her body as a musical instrument.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students can get to know their body in terms of conducting with various warm-up exercises and relaxation exercises,
2   Students can understrand the basic hand-arm and body posture of conducting,
3   Student can practice the basic beating tecniques,
4   Students can musically diversify the basic beats of the measures,
5   Students can apply the use of breath correctly according to the characteristics of the instrument.

Lessons:
Mathematical and graphical information about Basic Beating Techniques and Breath Use are presented by the instructor in the lesson, marked on the piece and applied by the student.

Homeworks:
The student is asked to apply the information about Basic Beating Techniques and Breath Use until the next lesson, and written assignments are given to mark on the piece.
