Course Objective

The main objective of the course is to enable students to understand political, social and cultural issues. The course also aims to develop their vocabulary to be able to follow sources on current issues in Turkey and abroad such as national and international politics, environment, migration, human rights, health and science.

1   To follow political, social, economic and cultural developments
2   To explain ideas to the public in a coherent and coherent way, to ask questions and to discuss them accordingly
3   To conduct a comprehensive research on current issues and prepare individual and group presentations
4   To use their general knowledge of current issues effectively in dealing with problems encountered in the translation process
5   To develop new questions and research areas on current issues

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Students will be assigned weekly to make preliminary research on topics in order to participate in class discussions. Student groups will prepare a presentation on a topic every week. Attendance and participation will also be graded.
