Course Objective

Application of clinical treatment methods in pediatric patients, examination, treatment planning, restorative treatments and materials, diagnosis of eruption and developmental anomalies, and application of prophylactic treatments.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Performs restorative treatments and root canal treatment in primary and young permanent teeth.
2   Applies restorative treatments on anterior and posterior primary teeth with excessive substance loss.
3   Applies placeholder and child prostheses in children.
4   It diagnoses hernia and developmental anomalies and makes prophylactic treatments.
5   It takes preventive measures against the development of caries.

Assessment Criteria

1. To be able to apply restorative treatments and root canal treatment in primary and young permanent teeth,
2. Should be able to apply restorative treatments in anterior and posterior primary teeth with excessive substance loss,
3. Be able to apply placeholders and child prostheses in children,
4. Diagnoses and prophylactic treatments of hereditary and developmental anomalies,
5. Should be able to take preventive measures against the development of caries.
