Course Objective

Course Objectives
To Distinguish the lexicon of Turkish with reference to the dialect field and language gorups in the field. To enrich literary language and oral language with refer to common words in dialects. Learning properties that binds dialects of Turkish world .

1   Learns fonetic structure and properties of Turkish
2   Learns fonetic changes in process of Turkish
3   Understands the importance of sounds as a uniter and nation maker of societies.
4   Analyz fonetic properties and sound changes of Turkish on selected texts
5   Learns interaction between Turkic Languages.
6   Learns acent differences between areas and questions its reasons.

1 Anatolian Dialect Region base of grouping. (Eastern group, Norteast group, Western Group)
2 Rumeli Dialect Region (Eastern Rumeli dialects group, Western Rumeli dialects group)
3 Fonetic properties of Anatolian dialects.
4 Morphological properties of Anatolian dialects.
5 Diferences between Anatolian dialect regions.
6 Sentax properties of Anatolian dialects.
7 Midterm exams.
8 Diferences between Anatolian dialect regions
9 Fonetic properties of Rumeli dialects.
10 Morphological properties of Rumeli dialects
11 Sentax properties of Rumeli dialects.
12 Researches about categorizations of Rumeli dialects and criterias of these studies.
13 Khypchak effects on Rumeli dialects, properties that binds Western Rumeli dialects to Norteast Anatolia and other Turkic dialects.
14 Completly evaluation of studies about Anatolia and Rumeli dialects.
