Course Objective

Transportable cultural objects found in excavations or artifacts in the museum are
subject to various distortions. The of this course is to teach the students possible
causes of this deterioration and how to deal with it. The methods to preserve objects
and artifacts are also taught. Related chemical procedure will be applied in laboratory
practices.

1   Students can learn the restoration of artifacts brought to the museum
2   Students can learn the conservation of organic and inorganic artifacts
3   Students learn how to preserve objects ans artifacts in showcases and storerooms
4   Studens can learn how to establish a museum laboratory
