Course Objective

To understand the job of curators and the processes of planning a permanent or a temporary exhibition. To go through all the steps starting from the inception of an exhibition idea to the openning of the exhibition. To learn how to manage time, find money, prepare work flow-charts, solve technical problems, barrow objects from other museums, make insurance, deal with public relations, and advertise

2 How is an exhibition idea or concept formulated
3 Deciding on the collection, procedures of bringing objects from other museums. Financial planning of the museum.Finding resources for the exhibition
4 Selection of the objects from the faculty collection for the student exhibitions
5 Preliminary Design for the presentation of the Exhibition_ Student presentations
6 Preliminary Design for the presentation of the Exhibition_ Student presentations
7 Production of exhibition material and required technical support
8 Midterm exam
9 Writing and designing the information panels and team working
10 Writing and designing the information panels and team working
11 Marketing and outreach
12 Planning of the opening day of the exhibition, seminars and education activities.
