Course Objective

To get students to gain knowledge on the history of Seerah writing in Turkey and the problems, views, approaches concerning with the discipline; to have students the ability of comparing and contrasting the differences between general and local Seerah writings by giving the literature written for each target audience

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will have knowledge on the past and present condition of Seerah writing in Turkey
2   will meet the problems, approaches and views related to Seerah writing
3   will learn the literature written for different target audience groups such as public, children, and youth
4   will apprehend the native and foreign elements affecting the discipline of Seerah and be able to make analysis the position and importance of Seerah writing in Turkey within in the context of general Islamic history
5   will gain a formation on how to tell and transfer the life of the Prophet Muhammad in terms of taking different target audience groups to the center.
