Course Objective

The objective of the course is that the Graduation Project team acquires the theoretical background of the project topic, carries out a literature survey and preparations for the design work, and finally writes a report of intended work, presents and defends the work orally. Preparation to Graduation Project course also aims to give information on project writing and project management in order to prepare student to enginering practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   be able to use the knowledge and abilities acquired previously in the project work,
2   be able to obtain right sources and correct information for the project,
3   be able to design a complicated system, a component of a system or a process,
4   be able to prepare and submit a project(including the work to be done, work-time sheet, contents of the work packages, necessary experiments, equipment needed, expected outcomes, criteria of success, and B plan) in order to carry out the Graduation Project work effectively,
5   be able to evaluate the stages and parameters of the work,
6   be able to complete the Preparation to Graduation Project carrying out a team work,
7   be able to carry out the work on the topic accordingly to realistic criteria,
8   be able to defend the Preparation to Graduation Project work and the expected outcomes effectively in the written and oral form

Information related to the Pre-Graduation Project course such as student responsibilities, evaluation of the Project work, the components of the final grade, and all other information on the running of the course is given in detail in the web site of the department.

Assessment Criteria

Attendance to project meetings, completion of the weekly tasks and discussions in meetings will be taken into consideration in the assesment of the Project work. Final Project report and oral by Pre-Graduation Project Evaluation Committee will be considered to see how far the learning outcomes are met by the Project work. The evaluation criteria of the course are given the web site of the department.

Course Policies and Rules

Student must attend the weekly Project meetings, and they are expected to be well prepared for the discussions and completed the weekly tasks of the Project. The course is run accordingly to the rules of Graduation Project course of the department.
