Course Objective

The students are expected to make a research involving textile engineering subjects, carry out experiments, create designs, report and present the work done, regarding realistic limitations and using the information and skills they got via previous lectures. The aim of this project is to ensure that the students gain abilities such as; making research, applying theoretical information in practice, and presenting their work.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to use the skills and information gained via lectures in project work.
2   Ability to find and consult the relevant literature for the project topic.
3   Ability to design a system, a component of a system or a process or a product considering realistic constraints.
4   Ability to process and evaluate the data obtained in the research.
5   Ability to present the project as written and oral.

Assessment Criteria

The students will defend their project report to the jury consisting of three academic lecturers. They should also present their project as poster in Graduate Senior Project Poster Demonstration.

Course Policies and Rules

The head of department announces each project topic and the counsultants in the begining of semester. Students set a topic according to their interests, meet with the consultant of that project and agree with a graduate senior project topic. A demandeur is sent to the head of department by the consultant. The students are obligated to hand in the project written according to the preset rules before the deadlines, succeed the oral exam and prepare the poster presentation.
