Course Objective

This course aims to provide basic knowledge of methods required for quality improvement in manufacturing and service operations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to follow steps of statistical process control for quality improvement
2   Will be able to apply the appropriate control chart technique for the process
3   Will be able to use acceptance sampling procedures
4   Will be able to apply the experimental design for quality improvement
5   Will be able to know basic principles of Total Quality Management and Six Sigma
6   Will be able to use software for analyzing the quality problems.
